Guide to warranty and returns
ROADYZ stand behind its products. We believe in providing a higher quality product that is safe and fit for the intended use. For this reason we supply all our products with warranty as per the below specific details:
Warranty Coverage
Roadyz warrants that the below listed products will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use for the following periods:

This warranty covers only the replacement of components with manufacturing defects and excludes any damage resulting from misuse, accidents, poor maintenance, modifications, or failure to follow user instructions. Non-compliant modifications include installation of incompatible or non-recommended parts, tampering original components, improper alterations that are not as originally specified for the products. This warranty also does not apply to parts that wear out through normal use, such as brake pads, rim surfaces, spokes, rim tape, and bearings, or to damage caused by using the product beyond its intended purpose.
Normal wear and tear includes but is not limited to tire wear, chain elongation, and brake pad wear. Improper use of Road Bikes includes but is not limited to overloading above rider weight limit and off-road riding.
Warranty covers defects in materials or manufacturing. External impact, improper modification, or use of non-original parts voids the warranty. Damage caused by prolonged exposure to harsh environments (e.g., high humidity or salt) is not covered unless it affects normal functionality.
Accessories and Components (Excluding Wear Parts): Front brakes, painting, and surface treatments have a 1-year warranty. This covers defects due to normal use but not damage from collisions, scratches, chemical corrosion, or UV exposure. Accessories and parts sold separately are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of retail purchase. Improper installation or use will void the warranty.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
– Warranty period
The warranty period starts with the purchase date, as indicated by a valid proof of purchase. Borderline cases will be decided in favour of Customer.
Scope of warranty
This warranty covers:
• Defects in materials and workmanship; and/or
• Structural integrity of the products.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear;
- Wear parts (e.g., Tire, brake disk, chains, etc). These are subject to normal use and maintenance, and the cost of replacement is the customer’s responsibility;
- Unauthorized modifications or repainting of the product. Any alterations will void the warranty;
- Surface damage such as paint, coating, or decals caused by UV exposure or third-party products (stickers, protective films, etc.);
- Damage caused by improper use, lack of maintenance, accidents, extreme riding conditions, misuse, abuse, neglect, or environmental factors (e.g., saltwater, strong UV exposure, extreme temperatures, or humidity);
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, or neglect;
- Damage resulting from improper installation, maintenance, or repairs performed by unauthorized persons;
- Modifications or alterations to the products;
- Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, solvents, or chemicals; and/or
- Products purchased from third-party sources. ROADYZ reserves the right to refuse warranty claims if a valid proof of purchase is not provided or if the product is from another supplier and/or an authorized source.
How to make warranty claim
Step 1: Check the Warranty
- Make sure your product is still within the warranty periods as per the above table.
- Remember what’s not covered:
• Normal wear and tear (e.g. brake pads, bearings, rim tape, spokes)
• Damage from accidents, misuse, poor maintenance, or modifications
• Any issues caused by using parts that weren’t originally approved for your product
Step 2: Prepare and file Your Claim
Email us at info@roadyz.com.au with ALL of the following:
- Your original proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
- Frame bottom bracket code
- A short description of the issue
- Photos (and video if helpful) clearly showing the defect
- We may ask for other supporting evidence such as a written inspection report issued by a licensed Australian bike mechanic or store
Step 3: We’ll Review and Respond
Once we receive all the information, we’ll review your claim and get back to you within 15 business days. If your claim is approved, Roadyz will send a replacement part free of charge. If not like for like, replacements should be of equal or greater value to the defective product. Roadyz is liable for the defective products, by providing the buyer with reimbursements or replacements for the complete unit.
Step 4: Return (if needed)
In rare cases, we may ask you to send the faulty item back for further inspection. If that happens, the shipping costs will be covered.
Order Cancellation
We accept order cancellation before the product is shipped or produced. If the order is cancelled you will get full refund minus any payment processing fee (Credit card, PayPal, etc.). We cannot cancel the order if the product is already shipped out.
When you can return or request a refund
You can return an item or request a refund in the following situations only:
- Faulty or Damaged on Arrival: If the product you received is faulty, damaged, or doesn’t work as expected.
- Doesn’t Match Description: If the product doesn’t match the description provided on our website or isn’t fit for the purpose it was sold for.
- Change of Mind: In some cases, we may accept returns due to a “change of mind.” Please read the details below.
Return conditions (Including change of mind )
To return an item, the following conditions must be met:
- Timeframe: You must notify us of your intention to return and submit a return request within 30 days from the date you received the product.
- Product Condition:
o The product must be in its original condition, unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
o All tags, labels, and manuals must be intact and included.
o For bicycles or products requiring assembly, they must not have been assembled or used beyond what’s necessary to check for obvious defects.
o Once we receive the item, we’ll inspect it to ensure it meets our return conditions. - Proof of Purchase: You must provide valid proof of purchase (e.g., your invoice or order number).
Non-Returnable Items
The following items generally cannot be returned unless they are significantly faulty or damaged:
- Used items or items damaged after receipt due to misuse.
- Gift cards.
- Certain personal or hygiene products (not currently sold on ROADYZ but e.g., helmets that have been worn).
- Items that have been customized at your request (e.g., special frameset paintjob and/or special sized handlebar).
How to Initiate a Return
To return an item, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Get in touch with our customer service team at info@roadyz.com.au within the specified timeframe.
- In your email, provide your order number and a description of the issue.
- Return Approval: We’ll review your request and issue a Return Authorization Number (RAN) if approved.
- Shipping: Once you have your RAN, ship the product to us at the address we’ll provide. Please ensure the item is securely packed to prevent any damage during transit.
Return Shipping costs
If the return is due to a product defect or a mismatch with the description, we will cover the return shipping costs.
If the return is due to a “change of mind,” you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.
Refunds or Replacement
When a return or warranty claim is approved, one or more of the following options would be initiated based on our communications with you:
- Repair: we will cover the repair cost according to the most appropriate making good based on the issue, and at an agreed-on repair shop.
- Full Refund: Issue a full refund to your original payment method [within 7-10 business days] after the return is approved.
- Replacement: We can replace the item with an identical or similar product, subject to availability.
- Store Credit: For “change of mind” returns past the “change of mind” period of 30 days, we might offer store credit for future purchases. The above product conditions must be met.
